Opportunities for Giving
Charitable Giving
The generosity of every contributor who has shared in the creation of the Miami Jewish Home is reflected both in the beauty of the Douglas Gardens and Douglas Gardens North campuses, and in the unparalleled array and quality of services provided to our residents, tenants and clients. Investing in the Home has created a continuum of care that is never-ending in its loving and dignified concern for the frail elderly. Our donors' passion has inspired the Home's journey from its modest beginnings to its place today as a world-class, multi-faceted, geriatric health care organization with multiple locations throughout South Florida.
Opportunities abound to have one's name connected to the proud history of our magnificent facilities. What better way to establish your legacy than by upholding the sacred commandment to honor the elderly, the parents of us all? The Miami Jewish Home and Hospital at Douglas Gardens offers meaningful and tax-deductible opportunities for giving:and for recognition of a loved one; a parent or grandparent; spouse; or, child. In return, the Home can offer enduring recognition in perpetuity. To arrange a dedication to honor or memorialize a loved one, please call Director of Development Norma A. Orovitz, at 305.751.8626, or 954.525.0955, extension 2124, or email to Norovitz@mjhha.org.
Planned Giving
No matter the dimensions and depth of your philanthropic goals, whether you're concerned about protecting assets, receiving income or reducing your tax obligation, Douglas Gardens' Director of Planned Giving, Richard A. Dorn, can devise a program that will realize those financial goals while enhancing and enriching the lives of seniors in need.
Today, because of generous tax advantages and high payout rates, the Life Gift Annuity is a most popular gifting vehicle. Not only does it provide a higher rate of return than other low risk investments but it ensures that you and/or a loved one will receive significant fixed payments for life.
The 700 residents and tenants who live on the Douglas Gardens campus and the 8,000 clients served in our community-based programs depend upon your investment in the Home as those gifts provide services to the parents of us all:those for whom fullness of years has been both a blessing and a challenge. Please call Director of Planned Giving Richard Dorn at 305.751.8626, or 954.525.0955, extension 2189, or email to RDorn@mjhha.org
